Google set to launch Facebook competitor
So far, Google has met several online gaming companies to offer people an exciting array of services whencompared to Facebook.

THIS TIME its war between Google and Facebook, if reports are to be believed. After popular networking site Facebook famously announced its 500 millionth registered user and has been basking in the glory of murdering Orkut, it may be time for Facebook to tighten its belts. Google Inc is coming back, and its coming back with a vengeance with another social networking platform aimed at dethroning Facebook of all its present glory.

As per a leading international daily, Google has now entered into talks with popular gaming companies  with the aim delivering new services to the internet addicted people. So far, Google has met several online gaming companies such as Playdom Inc, Electronic Arts Inc's Playfish and Zynga Game Network Inc, the report mentioned.

Although it is still unclear when will the service be launched, Google still has to revamp Orkut if they wish to venture one step ahead. Animation kingpins, Walt Disney Co had said on Tuesday that it is contemplating to acquire Playdom for an amount of $563.2 million as the latter is a young but at the same time fast developing gaming market for Facebook thus increasing the link between social networkers and social gaming developers.
