Google wishes 'Merry Christmas!' with an animated doodle
Internet search engine giant Google celebrates the festival of Christmas with an animated doodle on its home page.

Google logo has been decorated with the various Christmas motifs and letter L has been replaced by the Christmas tree. On clicking the start button various motifs get animated.

The doodle also shows two reindeers. One of them has been shown lying down on sofa and the other one is resting on the floor.

The doodle further depicts an elf resting on a rocking chair with a gift in his hand facing Santa Claus in another rocking chair. By moving the cursor along the logo, the wish "Happy Holidays" appears for the viewer.

The Google doodle blog reads, "It's that festive time of year again! Sending along holiday cheer to you & your loved ones during this merry time. Happy Holidays!"

Each year, the festival of Christmas is celebrated to mark the birth of Jesus Christ by decorating their houses with lights, motifs and Christmas tree.

Traditionally, the celebrants and followers make merry, have feasts, exchange gifts, prepare special cakes, light candles, sing carols, display nativity scenes  and attend church services. Children love the festival since Santa Claus brings  gifts for them.
