Google's Chrome OS to challenge Microsoft, Apple

MICROSOFT AND Apple operating systems will soon have to fend off a strong challenge from Google if the search engine giant's Chrome Operating System (OS) works out as expected by the company. Google's Chrome OS is unlike a conventional operating system and is designed to bypass computer hard drives will solely work online.

The preview of Chrome operating system was given publicly by Google on Thursday. The main feature of Chrome OS is that main application and other additions available to the user will be stored and and accessed online.

Google said that the Chrome OS will be available on small notebooks, which use solid state drives. Company officials said that the best advantage of their operating system is that it can popped within 10 second on the computer screen.

Google compared it's Chrome OS to a television button saying that as soon as the user turns it on, he will be on web. As Google's operating system is primed for working online, Chrome looks much like a web browser.
