Google's last doodle for the year 2011 a great disappointment
Everyone was looking forward to Google's last doodle but it turned out to be very simple. Google is wishing everyone a Happy New Year with Google dressed up for the celebrations.
GOOGLE HAS become such an important part of our world. If we think about it, without Google we would not know what is happening around the world, what is the meaning of a word, whose birthday it is or download so many things. When Google does anything it is on a grand scale. They have raised the scale so much that we expect a lot from it. Thus, when i saw the Doodle this morning of Google, I was expecting the animated characters to burst into a New Year song or at the least just take a bow, blow kisses or throw the caps in glee. However, nothing of the sort happened and it was disappointed.
Maybe this year too they are planning something spectacular for the 1st of January, for now we have alphabets dressed up in hats and fancy dress, spectacles and balloons celebrating the coming of the New Year, probably attending a party. The message is getting across and people are in a festive mood but everyone was expecting another ‘let it snow’ act as Christmas, where the screen was turning misty and users had to defrost it.
As one clicks on the logo, however, one is directly taken to a page that is filled with links for happy New Year wishes, poems, cards and wishes. It has everything from food to places to party to SMSes. They have not let down the users on this front and anyone who is searching for anything related to Happy New Year all they have to do is click on the logo of Google and they enter the world of New Year.
As we all know Doodles are the best devised by Google to tell the world about a birthday, death anniversary and invention. Thanks to Google that we honour names and people who have contributed so much to our lives.
