Gopal Kanda to be further interrogated in Geetika Sharma case
The Ashok Vihar police seems to suffer a setback in the Geetika Sharma suicide case with the main accused Gopal Goyal Kanda refusing to cooperate and Aruna Chaddha's extention of police custody denied.
ON THE second day of his interrogation on Monday, Kanda who has been charged of abetting Geetika’s suicide, proved to be a hard nut to crack. The high-profile accused simply refused to cooperate with the police.
Since Kanda’s arrest has so far not yielded any desired results, and the police is trying to arrest and question Ankita Singh, a close associate whose name has figured in another suicide note of Geetika. Police is also mulling the idea of putting Kanda on brain-mapping test to sift required information from him.
Meanwhile, police suffered a setback on Monday when meteropolitan magistrate Vipin Kharb refused further police custody of Aruna Chaddha. Police was planning to ‘confront her’ with Kanda to identify the inconsistencies in their statement.
