A CALL for Bharat Bandh has been given by thirteen non-UPA and non-NDA left parties to protest against the rising prices. The left parties will carry out a Bharat Bandh tomorrow on 27th April, 2010. The Bandh will be observed by all non Congress and non BJP parties.
The parties which would be actively taking part in the all India protest against price rise include Communist Party of India (CPI), Biju Janata Dal, Communist Party of India (M), Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), Indian National Lok Dal( INLD), Samajwadi Party (SP), Rashtriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) etc. The prime aim of the Bharat Bandh is to protest against the shortcomings on part of the UPA led government to tame price rise and growing inflation.
The Third Front has united under one umbrella to form a strategy for a cut motion against the finance bill. The opposition will try as much as possible to make the bandh a success to give a tough time to the government by forcing it to rollback of the hike in prices of petroleum products.
With the opposition coming together for a cut motion it would certainly put the strength of the government to test in Lok Sabha.
