YOU SWITCH on the television set, and you are sure to find some reality show or the other being aired on a number of channels. Colors will soon air the Indian version of an Argentinian combat format show, 100% Lucha featuring the Great Khali (Dalip Singh Rana). The hugely popular Indian WWE wrestler has already started warming up for the shoot of the game show, which will be shot in South Africa. A number of WWE wrestlers like Kilimanjaro, Nightmare, Skull Fury, Exterminator, Jason Steele, Tornado and Ananzi will take part in the show. The show will be produced by Endemol India and will be aired by the end of August.

Hip hop queen Hard Kaur will be hosting the event. Hard Kaur has said that she is a big fan of the Great Khali and believes that the producers might have found her tough profile suitable for the show. She further added that the show dates and other things would be worked out soon.

The show will be shot in South Africa and will feature 13 combat fighters, and will be a mixture of the scripted and non-scripted format, somewhere between where reality ends and drama begins. The Argentinian show, 100% Lucha originally premiered on 1 January 2006, as a bi-yearly entertainment show for kids but very soon topped the ratings chart. Will the desi version of 100% Lucha give tough competition to the slew of other reality shows currently airing on Indian channels? Whether the magic of the great Khali will keep the audience glued to their seats, remains to be seen.
