Green India Initiative working to curb global warming
A.S Gehlot, the founder of Green India Initiative is very upset regarding melting glaciers, natural disasters and the recent Japan tsunami. He says, 'Citizens of the world must do something for coping with the global issue.'
Green India Initiative (GreenIndiaInitiative dot com)'s founder A.S Gehlot is very disturbed and upset with the present day condition of nature. He says, "We are seeing the ill-effects of Global Warming and these indicate that something needs to be done in this issue."

An interview with A. S Gehlot, Founder of Green India Initiative: -

CJ: What is the thing that upsets you the most in the present-day scenario?

ASG: The present-day natural conditions such as the rising number of earthquakes, tsunami in Japan, unexpected climate changes, melting of glaciers are the things that upset me. The major point is that instead of acting on the issue, majority of people just read and forget.

CJ: Why is it so, that inspite of your initiative since 2007, nothing has changed and conditions have worsened?

ASG: I encourage people to plant trees only through the online-mode. I am a student presently, and so, I would have to concentrate on that too. And, I am not having a big-team which is just as in NGO. Its a social initiative and it would work like that only. Our work is to encourage people, and we are trying our best to encourage people. But, the inner-voice will make things happen.

CJ: You say that inner-voice will make things happen. What does this "inner voice" refers to?

ASG: This inner voice refers to what thinking people have. I am promoting this initiative, because I think deeply for environment conservation. The same thing people should have in their mind, in order to make the initiative successful.

CJ: How can "One Citizen One tree" help in this? People regularly grow plants but things are not changing.

ASG: That's completely correct. It will surely help because it would make a balance between the natural resources i.e. the trees and the humans. So, its really important.

CJ: Any plans to make the initiative as NGO?

ASG: Presently, I don't plan to make it as an NGO. I may get it registered as a NGO after my higher-education - but not now. My prime goal now is to encourage people to plant trees, and I hope this goal gets completed.

CJ: Thanks a lot! We hope your initiative reaches the target in bringing awareness to people. Well done for your noble task.

ASG: Thanks to you all who appreciate this initiative. "One Citizen - One tree" can lead to Green India and Green World".
