Unidentified militants on Tuesday hurled a grenade towards the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bunker in the main city of Srinagar. The bunker was located near the Hanuman mandir at Amira Kadal.

UNIDENTIFIED militants on Tuesday hurled a grenade towards the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bunker in the main city of Srinagar. The bunker was located near the Hanuman mandir at Amira Kadal.

After the blast which took place near about 2:30 PM, people started to run helter skelter after the blast. J&K police and other concerned authorities rushed to the site of explosion immediatelty and launched a search operation in the area..

Initially, rumours were afloat that several people were injured, however, police officials confirmed that there was no casuality caused by the blast. Soon after the explosion, police launched a crackdown in the area and didn't allow any person to gather in surrounding areas.
