Guidelines to take reasonable photographs of clouds out of aeroplane window
Those who travel by planes often are amazed when the plane goes above the clouds and see the scene out of the window. They get tempted to photograph the clouds below and on the sides. Their shapes and structures can be amazing.

However, the plane-window photography has emerged as learnable skill and with little knowledge and guidelines one can take reasonable photographs of the clouds. The inset pictures of the clouds have been taken by Facebook friend Ajay Mohan and posted to me that motivated me to do this write up.

When the plane is not shaky, one can put that camera-lens  against the glass of the plane window for a steady shot. Put the camera on high shutter speed and low aperture, this will eliminate little shake and window reflection to a good extent. You may, use your one hand to encircle around the lens to reduce further the window glass reflection.

Setting the camera to the manual focus mode and locking focus results in better picture. Look at the point of interest for photography such as cloud formation and lock the focus on it and click. Never use flash, it spoils the photographs.

Photography through plane's window is part of travel photography since it depicts the sense of a time and a place to portray a natural scene around the traveler is wide open photographic area as far as as the subjects it covers.
