Gujarat has voted for development: India Inc

India Inc has hailed the third consecutive victory of Narendra Modi in Gujarat assembly elections and called it victory of development that will open new doors for investment in the state.

APEX INDUSTRY body Assocham has said that the people of Gujarat have voted for the development of the state under the leadership of Narendra Modi.

"The Gujarat government under the able-guidance of Mr Modi has been an epitome of good governance and path-breaking development, evidently as the state has made remarkable progress during the course of last decade," said Rajkumar Dhoot, Assocham's president in a statement.

Confederation of Indian Industry, CII, said that Modi's victory will enhance the confidence of the industry. “The stability in the State would enhance confidence of the Industry and herald new investments. CII has been working closely with the State Government and looks forward to continuing its engagement with it for Gujarat's progress,” said Adi Godrej, CII president.

Bhagyesh Soneji, chairperson of Gujarat Council at Assocham while hailing Modi’s historic re-election for the third term said that promoting the use of renewable sources of energy like solar, biogas and hydro for sustainable growth and to meet the rising electricity requirement, setting up of export promotion zones for export of dairy, cereals, sugar, confectionary, textiles, garments, footwear, glassware, automobiles and other such export driven industries thereby making Gujarat an export hub are certain other areas the state government should focus."
