GUJARAT HOME minister Amit Shah resigned from the state cabinet on Friday after the CBI filed chargesheet against him in connection with Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case. His resignation has been accepted by Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, who said that he had full confidence in the judicial system.
On his cancelled programs, an aide said, “He was to go to Delhi on Friday to attend a meeting with Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar on food price. However, the threat of Shah's arrest led him to cancel the decision to fly. It is not sure whether he will go to Delhi for the National Development Council meeting on Saturday." In the wake of the above said situation, Modi also skipped the “Garib Kalyan Mela” meet.
