Gujarat riots 2002: Why Modi is being attacked continuously by various NGOs?
In a recent exposure on Arvind Kejriwal, a former co-founder of AAP has asked 4 questions. One of the questions is that in the year 2013 alone, several NGOs received Rs.11500 Crores from the Ford Foundation. Only 2% NGOs have filed their returns. Why Kejriwal is not demanding investigation into the funding of the NGOs by the Ford Foundation?

There are thousands of NGOs operating in India, which are being funded directly or indirectly by the Ford Foundation. The so called social activists who are operating these NGOs are known as intellectuals in our media and society.

After the 2002 Gujarat riots, for the last about 12 years these NGOs and the persons associated with these NGOs are condemning  and attacking Narendra Modi on full time basis, as if these NGOs have got no other work to do except Modi-bashing. These NGOs and the so called social activists and intellectuals associated with these NGOs are trying to give an impression that they are attacking Modi because he was instrumental in 2002 Gujarat riots.

Based on the perception created out of the feedback from these NGOs, the US refused to give Visa to Narendra Modi. Most of these NGOs were involved directly or indirectly in the conversion of Hindus to Christian religion and these activities were vehemently opposed and banned in Gujarat by Narendra Modi Government. After Modi banned these conversion activities in Gujarat, other States ruled by BJP also proceeded to put a stop on these activities of these so called NGOs.

These NGOs were mainly formed for this purpose and were getting substantial funds to carry out these activities. Modi and BJP were coming in their way and the existence of these NGOs was threatened. These NGOs have been left with no other option but to attack Narendra Modi in particular and BJP in general on the pretext of 2002 Gujarat riots as if there have been no other instances of riots in the country either before or after the 2002 Gujarat riots.

If these NGOs and the so called social activists and intellectuals were so much concerned about the Muslims and the riots, why they were silent on thousands of other riots happened in the country under various non-BJP Governments elsewhere in the country? The simple answer is that these NGOs were attacking Modi and BJP only for the reason that their activities of converting the Hindus to Christian religion were vehemently opposed by the Modi and the BJP Governments.

USA is keenly watching the Lok Sabha elections in India and is aware of the Modi Wave prevailing in the country and in anticipation of the election results and the possible formation of the Modi led BJP or NDA Government, has already asked its Ambassador in India, Nancy Powell to resign. She is expected to formally leave her job by the end of May 2014. There are indications that the US would like to appoint a new Ambassador who will be more friendly to the new Government in view of the activities carried out by Nancy Powell under the UPA Government.

Now, the US administration has realized, whether they like it or not, they have to deal with Modi led BJP Government after May 2014 and have clearly given the departure signal to Nancy Powell to leave India by that time so that the fresh ground could be laid for granting Visa to Modi. Whether Modi will use this Visa or not or whether Modi as Prime Minister will ever visit US or not, is a million dollar question.
