Gurgaon - a city developed without prior planning
Without any proper planning, licenses were approved for commercial and residential complexes in Gurgaon. Now what we are seeing is that skyscrapers have been built, but they lack proper drainage and parking systems. The conditions are set to worsen in the years to come.

THE CITY residents are not happy with the amenities administration is providing to them. Every second day new skyscrapers and sectors are coming up without any proper planning for drinking water, power, roads, parking, public transport, playgrounds, dispensaries, sewerage, drainage and its disposal, etc. Thus ill planning will undoubtedly create a grave problem for the citizens after 15 years or so.

We don’t understand what Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), town planners, Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) Commissioner and mayor are up to! Crores of rupees are allocated for various projects undertaken in the city and still it seems that the corcerned agencies fail to utilise them properly.

If all the councillors elected are serious, honest and sincere to the works assigned to them, we will certainly see a tremendous improvement in the city. Let the mayor and councillors not fight among themselves and get involved in the party politics, and instead work for the development of the city.

Towering shopping complexes have been built and civic agencies like HUDA and MCG approved the licenses, but nobody bothered to think where people working in these commercial complexes would park their vehicles.
