Gurgaon and Gannaur giving sleepless nights to Hooda for political reasons
Gurgaon and Gannaur have one thing in common that they both starts with G alphabet. But these two places have one more thing in common that they have become a big headache for Haryana's Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for political reasons.

Gurgaon is a Lok Sabha constituency presently represented by rebel Congress leader, Rao Inderjit Singh who is likely to join BJP and Gannaur is an assembly constituency in Sonipat district of Haryana represented by Haryana Assembly speaker Kuldeep Sharma, protege of Hooda.

Hooda's loyalist Jatinder Malik, MP from Sonipat Lok Sabha seat has declared that he will contest assembly elections from Gannaur instead of contesting Lok Sabha polls, whereas Kuldeep Sharma has also announced that he will contest from Gannaur Assembly seat.

This has put Hooda in catch-22 situation as neither he can deny ticket to Kuldeep Sharma nor he can ignore claim of Jatinder Malik who had earlier represented the constituency. There are reports of Kuldeep Sharma shifting to Kurukshetra assembly constituency.

Similarly from Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency, Hooda's loyalist and transport minister Aftab Ahmed has declared that he was willing to contest. Ahmed has got blessings of Robert Vadhera, son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi and of Ahmed Patel. Robert Vadhera has played a major role in getting Congress ticket to Aftab for Haryana assembly elections last time and his elevation to the post of minister in Hooda Govt.

But now, former President of Pradesh Youth Congress Chiranjeev Rao has also claimed that he was a strong contender for the Gurgaon Lok Sabha seat as he has been actively involved in the public campaigns and hence developed a strong connection with the people of the area. Chiranjeev Rao's claim has put Hooda in a difficult situation as he has backing of  his father-in-law and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Parsad Yadav who will use his proximity with Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

Chiranjeev Rao is son of Capt. Ajay Yadav, minister in Hooda Govt. and grandson of Rao Abhay Singh, a prominent leader in Ahirwal region.  Chiranjeev Rao had inherited politics. Chiranjeev Rao's father Capt. Ajay Singh Yadav has made a record by winning elections consecutively for six times from Rewari constituency. This family has strong hold in Ahirwal.

Capt. Yadav and Chiranjeev Rao both are sociable persons. Capt. Yadav has been representing Rewari constituency for last 25 years and is popular among all sections of the society. However, Chiranjeev Rao had played an active role in the last two assembly elections. Chiranjeev was also very active in the campaign launched by Rahul Gandhi in Uttar Pradesh against land acquisition.

Chiranjeev has been active in politics as well as in social field. The cricket tournaments introduced by him to identify talented young players of Ahirwal was highly appreciated. Also, he inspired people for donating blood by organizing several blood donation camps.
