ACCORDING TO an Assocham study, major companies are planning to shift their headquarters out of Bangalore. Most heads are turning towards Noida and Gurgaon, which have been making major advancements in various IT, ITes, BPO, and KPO sectors. Is India's Silicon Valley, a major technical hub of India, on a decline?

The ever-increasing traffic on the roads, poor sanitation, and water supply are major problems that the people of Bangalore are facing, along with the decline in the quality of the infrastructure required to maintain itself as a top class IT destination. The competition is getting tougher with many cities developing better infrastructure facilities.The survey conducted by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India reflected that companies are looking towards other cities with better infrastructure which is also industrial friendly. Noida and Gurgaon have been doing very well in various sectors, earning huge revenues. The development has not gone unnoticed.
According to an Assocham study, they interacted with around 800 directors, CEOs, and CFOs of many multinational companies along with Indian companies. Thirty per cent of officials surveyed are ready to shift their headquarters to Gurgaon. Twenty five per cent of respondents were happy to shift their bases to Noida and Greater Noida, which are booming at a fast pace. But, some respondents wanted to shift their bases to Hyderabad and Mumbai too. Many companies have also stopped to expand their business in Bangalore.
