Gurgaon becomes host to Nasscom's fourth product enclave seminar
Gurgaon as a city has its share of problems, but it is slowly coming on its own. Initially known for its mall culture, the city is slowly building on its real estate empire as well as its IT hub. All the corporates have their offices in Gurgaon and the recently built Cyber Hub have added to the charm of the city. Looking at the growing popularity of the IT sector, Nasscom hosted their fourth edition of its 'Product Enclave', which is a national seminar for IT firms and startups.
The event, which took place on Wednesday, was attended by the who's who of the IT world
in Gurgaon. Senior IT professionals as well as small start ups were a part of the seminar. The organisers, who wanted to create a common platform for all and sundry were able to do so. Talking about the seminar, R Chandrashekhar, president, Nasscom, said, ''It is overwhelming to see the enthusiasm among IT companies to develop innovative software products. Our interaction with the NCR based organizations, especially with young businesses, was very constructive.'' It was he who delivered the keynote address to the people present at the seminar.
The seminar, which has taken place in Pune, Kolkata
took place for the first time in Gurgaon. In future as well, such seminars are slated for various other places. Apart from giving entrepreneurs a common platform to discuss their ideas, the idea of the seminar was also to give ample opportunity to everyone to give a shape to their ideas by talking about it by sharing it with like minded people.
Ravi Gururaj, chairman, Nasscom Product Council also said, ''The product landscape has grown exponentially over the years in India, and is now considered one of the fastest growing domains of the industry. That's why we have started seeing a tremendous increase in the number of products startups with offerings ranging from e-commerce to cloud platforms.''
