Gurgaon celebrated Republic Day amidst tight security
The celebrations of 26th January in Gurgaon was organized in Tau Devi Lal Stadium where Haryana Governor was invited as the honorable chief guest for flag hoisting and to facilitate the program.

The 'At Home' function was later held in Gymkhana Club, Sector- 29 Gurgaon. The celebrations for the Republic Day witnessed a grand parade by defence personnel, several tableaus conveying different message and a martial arts show by the professionals.

Special arrangements for the entry were made for the visitors near Medanta Hospital located on Bhaktavar Chowk. The were tight security arrangements.

The responsibility of security and to manage the crowd was on the shoulders of Gurgaon Police. The police personnel were deployed at several important landmarks of the city since a week ago.

Even before the Republic Day, the Gurgaon Police maintained the demeanor in the city in order to carry out the republic day function peacefully. The rehearsals of the same were carried out by maintaining the law and order.

IPS SS Deshvwal IPS , IPS Mohd Akil ,Vivek Sharma, IPS Joint Commissioner of Police , Crime , Gurgaon; Bharti Arora IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police , Headquarters , Gurgaon; Nazneen Bhasin and Deputy Commissioner of Police, East, Gurgaon, Surinder Pal Singh , Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon and other officers and employees were present during the celebrations.
