He told that if Rahul Gandhi helps them in getting their lands back then entire population of these villages will come bare footed to Delhi to convey their thanks to him and will honour him in Mahapanchyat.
Singh regretted that hey had also gone to Gannaur in Sonipat district where Rahul Gandhi had come to listen farmers, but Police did not allowed them to meet him.
He also expressed apprehensions about government's plan for setting up Global city on the proposed land stating that Hooda will again give it to Mukesh Ambani. He also disclosed that several influential politicians have purchased large chunk of land near proposed site and plan of Global city is made to benefit them.
The delegation of farmers also included Layak Ram former Sarpanch of Mohammedpur, Raghunath Singh former Sarpanch of Garoli Khurd, Narayan Singh and Azad Singh of village Khandsa and Ompal and Shrikishan of village Harsuru.
Nathu Singh accused Bhupinder Singh Hooda of cheating them while alleging that Hooda had deployed strong contingent of Police to help Mukesh Ambani for taking possession of the land. When they had sat on dharna and had refused to part with the land, Hooda had called them, and asked them to believe in him as he was also son of a farmer and is concern for their interests. According to Singh, Hooda had assured them that Reliance project will benefit their generations
Notably Om Prakash Dhankar, All India President of Kissan cell of Bhartiya Janata party, Kuldeep Bishnoi of Janhit Congress, Abhay Chautala of Indian National Lok Dal and Arvind Kejriwal, former chief minister of Delhi have demanded that this land should be given back to the farmers from whom it was acquired.
According to MOU Signed between Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation and Reliance industries in case of its failure in establishing SEZ, Govt. is competent to forfeit administrative charges and impose penalty. But Advocate General of Haryana, Hawa Singh Hooda virtually acting as advocate of Mukesh Ambani has given advice to the Govt. which exempted Reliance of all these penalties.
Meanwhile Haryana Govt. has informed the Supreme Court that although Reliance had purchased about twelve hundred acres of non-contiguous land in Gurgaon, but it faced difficulties in purchasing balanced land at economically viable rates.
Moreover due to Union Govt's move to introduce mid course changes in the SEZ framework and impact of global meltdown, Reliance industries has expressed its inability to proceed further with the planned SEZ project.
Like an obedient student, Hooda Govt agreed to the request of Mukesh Ambani and started discussions with the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry for setting up of Global city project over the said land as a second investment mode in the state as part of the Delhi-Mumbai investment Corridor.
