Gurgaon gearing up to prevent accidents during fog in winters
Gurgaon's deputy commissioner is gearing up to prevent road accidents during dense fog this winter. Foggy weather is one of the key reasons of the various accidents on roads as the visibility becomes very low.

Therefore, keeping this in mind deputy commissioner of Gurgaon has asked city's civic agencies to paint the road with thermoplastic paint and highlight the roads with reflectors. This would help everyone to stick to their lanes and would prevent accidents.

Another major reason of road accidents during winters is that most of the street lights are not in proper condition and hence, they need to be repaired as well. The top cop is also concerned with the misspelt sign boards on Gurgaon roads.

“We need to take special measures to ensure safety of our citizens and therefore, blind curves need to be highlighted by reflectors and lane markings on roads that are 25ft wide. Steps like reflectors on dividers and radium tapes on tress also need to insatalled and, if the concerned authorities want to widen the roads, then civic agencies need specila permission from the forest department”, said Shekhar Vidyarthi, Deputy Commissioner of Gurgaon, as reported by ToI.

He further added, “Even commuters need to follow all the rules and regulations while driving during dense fog in winters and we are doing what we can do to avoid accidents on roads.”
