Gurgaonites may get relief from the haphazard driving of the auto-rickshaw drivers and the bus drivers which cause inconvenience and traffic snarls, as the MCG and the Gurgaon traffic police are planning to install 18 new bus queue shelters and 32 road signs across the city.
traffic police has done a
survey and has made a list of where the bus queue shelters and road
signs need to be installed, so that congestion, road accidents and
similar hazards can be prevented. They have already sent the list of
those places to the MCG.
Gourgaonites are also happy with this
move. Shumaisa Zaidi, a resident of Sector 4, says, ''Its a very good
move by the MCG and the traffic police. As it will make the travel
safer in Gurgaon. The rickshaw drivers in Gurgaon are very rude,
and run their monopoly, they overload the auto which makes me very
uncomfortable. If bus queue shelters are constructed and buses run
from my route then I will always prefer to travel by bus.''
The work has already started at Mahavir
Chowk, New Colony Mor, Sector 17C, ITI and the others would be
finished in next month. The other places where the bus queue shelters
are being proposed are MDI Chowk, Atul Kataria Chowk, Jwala Mill,
Krishna Chowk, Dundhaheda border, Rejangle Chowk, Spanish Court,
Bajgheda Chowk, Sukhrali, Basai Chowk, Maruti Gate, Sector 4/5 Chowk,
Sector 4/7 Chowk, Himgiri Chowk, Pataudi Chowk, Hanuman Chowk, ITI
and Sector 5 Chowk.
