How far the Gurgaon-Manesar master plan 2021 has achieved its goal? Is the project going to fulfill the dream or it is a dry project? Work paralysis of the project raises many questions like this. Then, what are the remedies and future of the project?
“There are so many hindrances in the project. KMP (Kundli-Manesar-Palwal) has stood as a great problem before Gurgaon-Manesar master plan 2021. Haryana State Industries and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) is not flexible towards the project,” said Praveen Yadav, president, Gurgaon Udyog Association.
The KMP project is under way and no visible results are seen in near future, Manesar takes an hour from Gurgaon itself and more than two hours from Delhi/NCR. Adding to this heavy vehicle transportation problem, toll tax is another burden for industrialists, he added.
“Government's documentation and paper work is so complex that it takes long time and land leasing procedure is not industry friendly for which many industry units turn their eye from Manesar,” Yadav said.
Most probably the project will not meet success within the notified time period and it's only because of administrative paralysis, he stated.
“The master plan is nothing but a farce, the government is only distributing license to farms and making money, the project is under way for the last 6 years and no visible works are done,” said Manmohan Gaind, General Secretary, Manesar Industries Welfare Association.
Although the KMP project has crossed double date, there is no sign of its completeness. Not only transporting, localities face traffic problem every minute. Villaspur Crossing, Hero Honda Chowk are the most dust polluted area and turned in to accident belts, he added.
“The project is a nuance and only to mess up Gurgaon. It should be withdrawn and re-planned discussing with RWA and existing industry bodies. The project is meant for public, so the master plan should not be a top secret, it must be discussed publicly,” said Gaind.
