Gurgaon police allegedly let off a Chinese citizen accused of illegally selling sex determination kit
Haryana's Food and Drug Administration's crackdown on international racket which is illegally selling Chinese machines for sex determination test across the country is being disposed off by the Gurgaon Police.

Even after 12 days of serving notices, twice under section 160 Cr.PC one Chinese citizen, whose firm was caught red handed selling portable ultrasound machines illegally from its Manesar warehouse in Gurgaon, has not joined the investigations.

According to highly placed sources, in order to avoid Police, the accused have taken shelter in Chinese Embassy in Delhi, where Police cannot move due to diplomatic immunity.

While Police is awaiting for the VIP accused, he has applied for anticipatory bail in Gurgaon court. Pritpal Sangwan, SHO, Gurgaon confirmed to this citizen journalist that despite serving two notices to him to join investigations, the accused has not responded and had applied for the anticipatory bail.

When contacted, Rakesh Gupta, FDA's Commissioner said that in his view the Chinese citizen must be arrested soon and should be held responsible for the female foeticide.

The question remains as to why the police is waiting for the outcome of his bail application. Considering the sensitive nature of the case, Gurgaon Police should not have given time to accused as their interrogation could have led to more shocking details about the racket.

Since it involves interrogation of Chinese nationals and a visit to China for checking the records of the company is mandatory hence it is high time that case is handed over to CBI for investigations.

The said firm was importing Chison marked machines from China and selling it for one lakh and twenty five thousands rupees per machine. The Company had its head office in Saket and its godown in Manesar in Gurgaon district.

Following a lead, officers of FDA led by Manmohan Taneja and Gurgaon Police have arrested Satnam Singh (National Sales Manager of Chison Imaging Chinese firm) from Manesar.

He was selling portable ultrasound machine to a decoy customer without seeking documents regarding registration and affidavit, which requires it to state that it will not be used for sex determination tests which is mandatory under PC and PNDT Act,1994.

His interrogation has led to company's head office in Saket in Delhi. According to sources on the day of raid Police had reached one director namely Liao Chaukun , but he was let off reportedly on verbal orders of a senior Gurgaon Police officer by merely serving him notice under 160 Cr.PC for joining the investigations.
