Gurgaon Police nabs robbers gang, recovers 50 cell phones, 30 cameras, 5 LCDs, 2 laptops
Gurgaon Police has nabbed a gang of eight members against whom innumerable cases were registered in the police files. The gang was infamous for a number of robberies in Gurgaon. Vivek Sharma, Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime said one of his Inspector Amit Kumar, Crime Branch - 8, Sector - 31, received a tip off and confirmed news about the whereabouts of the gang.

The inspector along with his subordinate ASI Shyaam Sundar and other team mates apprehended six members of gang whilst they were plotting the next robbery. They were arrested on 31st December, 2013.

On further interrogation of the thugs in the police custody, it was revealed that they have carried out several loots in areas such as Delhi, Sonipat, Kurukshetra, and several districts of Punjab. The members arrested by the Gurgaon Police have been identified as Mohammed Nizzamudin (42), Vishal (25), Rupesh (19) Roshan (20) Amit (21), Vikas (19), and Radhe Shyaam (19) and Sanjay (22). All these arrested persons were from Bihar excluding Sanjay, who hails from Uttar Pradesh.

Gurgaon Police recovered a country made pistol, one cartridge, two iron rods and pipes with battery when they were captured on 31st December, 2013. The number of recovered items did not end here. In addition to the above mentioned recovered items, 50 mobile phones, 43 batteries, 30 cameras, 5 LCDs, 10 Iron Press and two laptops were further recovered by the police personnel of Gurgaon under custody. The members of the gang have been charged with sections 394 and 397 of Arms and Ammunitions Act of IPC from sector - 10 Police Station, Gurgaon.

The crooks have confessed to their crimes and have divulged the details of their numerous loots as well. The gang used to export all the recovered items to Nepal. Few of their notorious crimes have been indexed as; the gang of eight killed a truck driver and looted his cash on 24th March, 2013, the gang also stole a motorbike in the month of January and February of 2013 from the area of Sundar Police Station, Gurgaon.

On 30th September, 2013, the gang robbed a house in Sector- 38, Gurgaon where they took away blackberry phones and other valuable items for which they have been charged with sections 487 and 280 of IPC. The notorious thug gang also stole several mobile phones from a showroom in Chattarpur in December, 2013 and also targeted Sonipat railway station in October, 2013 where they got their hands on 125 mobile phones. The same was repeated in Kurukshetra. In Punjab, the gang stole 30 cameras from an electronic showroom.
