Gurgaon school celebrates World Health Day and spreads awareness about Vector borne disease
Schools in Gurgaon are emulating international standards so that their students can have the best of everything. They not only teach their students about Indian customs, but also about various international days such as the Earth day, World Health Day etc,.
World Health Day was celebrated by students and the teachers of Rotary Public School on April 7 with the theme for the year by WHO - Vector Borne Diseases. It is an annual event being celebrated for years to mark the foundation of the World Health Organization in 1948 and as the opportunity to draw worldwide attention to the subject of major importance to Global Health.

As a part of the celebration, the school Medical Officer Dr. Shivani addressed the assembly on Oral health and general hygiene. In the week long celebration, the school arranged a special assembly to sensitize the students about the theme. With varieties of activities a general quiz was also organized for the students to acknowledge the day. Power Point Presentations emphasizing the Vector Borne diseases were shown to the students of all the classes in school A V Hall.

The Principal Miss Gulshan Dewan, in her address to the students insisted on the good eating habits that include a balanced diet, drinking water, fruit in every meal and 2 glasses of milk every day. She also emphasized on the importance of physical activities such as yoga and meditation for good health.
