Gurgaon school ties up with Sehwag Cricket Academy: Sehwag visits!
The 12 year old boy was diligently practicing in the nets of Kunskapsskolan school, Gurgaon and Virender Sehwag was watching him intently. His practise session ended with Sehwag giving him few tips and techniques. He was not the only boy, who was given tit bits about cricket from the master himself, as Sehwag's cricket academy had recently tied up with the school and it was just the fourth class. Sehwag with his core team had come down for a visit so that he could interact with the students and give them some inputs.

This is the first Sehwag Academy in Gurgaon and the fourth centre in India after Jhajjar, New Delhi and Ghaziabad. Another centre is opening up shortly in Jammu. At the event Sehwag made it clear that he wants to give back to the world, which has given him so much. Talking about his own childhood, he says, '' I did not get the basic facilities of cricket while growing up and hence I want to provide those basic facilities- infrastructure, bat, balls as well as techniques to these kids.''

Kunskapsskolan, which has other after-school sports initiated the program for their students as well as students from other schools. Students from Heritage, Pathways and Presidium were present at the day with their parents. Quite reasonable for a branded academy, the parents were happy about the fact that Sehwag took such keen interest in the academy. With just 3000 rupees per month, 3 classes in a week of 2 hours duration, this is a dream come true for many who loves the game and just want their ward to enjoy their childhood and game.

Ashok Chhabra, a State level cricket player himself and currently a chartered accountant tells us about the academy and how big a fan his son is,  ''Sehwag is Rishab's idol. He tries to play all the shots like him. This is his passion and the love for the sport, which has bought us here.'' When asked about his future, Chabbra said, '' As of now, we are not really thinking about the future, but if he wants to then he can surely take up cricket as his career.''

Ritu Khanna, the Director- Marketing of Sehwag Cricket Academy, while talking about the game said, '' The academy in Jajjhar is the first and the biggest academy and we are trying to spread around. In Gurgaon, we have 12-15 students at the moment and we primarily focus on the coaches as they build the foundation, apart from other things.''
