Gurgaon school's tiny tots excelled in song, dance and drama
For a bright future for our country and for ourselves, one should always focus on the buds and help them bloom. The seeds., i.e. the toddlers are the future of our country. To boost the budding seeds, one should always try and find different ways to bring out the hidden talent, which can be done by co-operating and co- ordinating with them on every issue, letting them know the rights and wrongs and also by making them aware of the gifts and talents they possess. What could be better than organising competitions and events to encourage these little stars?

In order to encourage and open-up the tiny tots, Scottish High International School held a grand traditional annual celebration to mark the celebration uniquely titled 'Monkey Business'. Each and every new student of the School stepped on stage to showcase his and her talent in creative pursuits like music, dance and drama within 20 days of joining the School.

This programme was indeed very special as it also marked the Annual Day Celebration of the tiny tots of the 'Initial Chapter' of the School. Very commendably, students who are just 3-4 years old performed in a spectacular show entitled 'Journey to the Dreamland' in less than three weeks of joining their first formal School.

They were colourfully attired as they performed dances, sang songs and enacted their own vibrant version of a classic fairytale to rapturous and resounding applause by a highly appreciative audience. The School choir performed a sonorous song 'The World is Ours' and the Hindi choir group accompanied by skilled bharatnatyam & kathak dancers sang strands of 'Mangal Dhwani'- Voice of the Enchanted in front of an enthralled audience. The Welcome Address was delivered by Mrs. Sudha Goyal, the School Director. The Chairman of the School Mr. Kartikay Saini eloquently expressed his views on the abilities of the students and conveyed the continued support of the Management to all earnest endeavors of all members of the School community.

This was followed by the Annual Award Ceremony in the afternoon for rewarding the accomplishments of the students during the bygone academic session. The Chairman of the School gave away certificates and trophies to 'All Rounders' in the fields of academics, sports and co- scholastic pursuits, to the Board Exam toppers, the Sports Champions and Best N.C.C. cadet. The Vice Chairperson , Mrs. Monica Jajoo awarded the students with 100 per cent attendance in the previous academic year and the Best Effort of the multi talented students of the Special Education Needs { SEN} Department of the School. The School Director, Mrs. Sudha Goyal gave away awards to all the Academic Proficiency Awardees . A cultural programme was also presented by the 'Highlanders' to add sparkle to this solemn Ceremony.
