Gurgaon to have CNG cut for 30 hours after water and power cut
After giving a hard time in providing water and electricity to the residents of Gurgaon, now people of the city should be ready for another setback. There will be no CNG supply for 30 hours in the city, from Saturday evening to Monday morning, due to maintenance issues.
GURGAON RESIDENTS, commercial users, and all CNG users in the city should be aware that there could be no CNG supply for them in the coming 30 hours till Monday early morning, reports says in The Times of India. Supply will be cut from 11:30 am on Saturday to 6 am Monday. On account of maintenance shutdown by GAIL, which is the only supplier of CNG to the city's Haryana City Gas Distribution Limited (HCGDL), which in turn owns all the five CNG pumps in the city, the supply will be disrupted for 30 long hours, TOI reported.
What will be most affected will be the city bus service, which runs on CNG, and ultimately transports the common man. But to overcome this difficulty, emergency supply by mobile cascades is being arranged for Haryana Roadways buses from HCGDL, and this was confirmed by Satish Chopra, chairman and managing director of HCGDL in reports.
As per reports he also promised to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to domestic customers and commercial establishments from their line pack in these 30 hours.
