The Gurgaon traffic police is really trying hard to implement traffic rules in various parts of the city. Not only policies, but they are also inculcating the habit of better traffic rules amongst young drivers. Hence, they with a team of officials and RSO's from Gurgaon Police today kicked off the 'Youth Awareness Drive' for the students of classes X-XII of schools in Gurgaon.
The Drive aims to educate young
students about the various aspects of transport and police
regulations in India
such as the organizational structure and
hierarchy of the Indian Police, the documents one needs to obtain in
order to become eligible to drive on Indian roads, the process to get
a traffic challan compounded etc.
The Youth Awareness Drive
has been conceptualized and is being executed by Mr. Chaitanya
Kansal, a young 21-year old IIT graduate in Computer Science &
Engineering, under the able guidance of Sh. Alok Mittal I.P.S.,
Commissioner of Police, Gurgaon
and Mrs. Bharti Arora I.P.S., Joint
The first session of the Drive was held yesterday
at Amity International School, Sector 43, Gurgaon, while the second
session was held at Gurugram Public School, Sector 55, Gurgaon.
Today, the team shall be visiting K.R. Mangalam World School, South
City, Gurgaon and Shalom Hills International School, Sushant Lok,
They have invited schools to be a part
of the event so that awareness can be spread to as many schools in
Gurgaon as possible. Kudos must be given to the authorities for
trying to better the situation of road traffic in Gurgaon. The next
