Road accidents often prove fatal to the victims, mostly in those cases in which the riders were not wearing helmets. People who constantly travel on road on their bikes, for them safety is something which should be listed on top. In the wake of this, Gurgaon Traffic Police has come up with a new solution to minimise causalities in the road accidents.

In a noble initiative the traffic police personnel will be circulating free helmets to those who survived ferocious road accidents. The traffic police believes that this initiative will certainly reduce the number of people dying in road accidents in the city.

Bharti Arora, Traffic Police Chief, as reported by ToI, stated, “Our main priority is the safety of citizens and I think distributing free helmets is a small step to deteriorate the road accidents in Gurgaon. The helmets will be de circulated absolutely free to the victims of road accidents and this will allow them to ride safely in future.”

She further added, “Helmets will be delivered at their doorstep with an aim to create a harmonious relationship with the citizens.”

Rahul Sinha, a regular commuter from Palam Vihar in Gurgaon to Cyber City said, "It is a nice initiative by the Gurgaon Traffice Police and its a gesture which the accident survivors should apreciate. It shows a positive attitude of the police personnel."

Amit Tyagi, a sales person who travels a lot within the Gurgaon city everyday for his work said, "Distributing free helmets is a positive step towards safe driving and Gurgaon Traffic Police should continue with this to assure safety in the city."

Gurgaon witnesses lot of road accidents every year and it's the responsibility of the traffic personnel to sort out this issue at the earliest.
