RAHUL GANDHI is actively involved in bringing the youth of the country in politics by re-energizing Youth Congress and the youth in general. To some extent he has been successful. But in Gurgaon, where the Gurgaon Youth Congress (GYC) has been established, he's not had much direct face-to-face communication with GYC, so as to help in the development of youth politics in the region. Still, the GYC has been working under his guidance and instructions. Mukesh Dagar, the President of Gurgaon Youth Congress told Menrinews.com, “Rahul Gandhi’s regular presence would act as an encouragement for GYC”.

Till date, Rahul Gandhi has only visited the city once when he was invited at the Gymkhana Club by  GYC, and the event was attended by a huge crowd, showing full support for him. The GYC members were also very pleased with his presence and the members got a chance to interact with him, and they put forward the problems that are hampering the working of the GYC like issues with the local administration, where upon he instructed that the Chief Minister will look into the matter.  

Though, Rahul Gandhi has been doing a great job, people of Gurgaon and GYC want him to visit the Millinnium City more often and visit villages and houses himself in order to get a better grasp of the situation. Dagar adds, “We are in constant touch with Rahul Gandhi through mails addressing the problems of the area and he gives us solutions to it”.

Under the careful guidance of Rahul Gandhi, the GYC has been working in various kinds of youth programmes that have been introduced by the government. Irrespective of Gandhi’s absence, the GYC has been galvanizing the youth. Mukesh Dagar is not sure when Rahul Gandhi would be visiting next, as there are no future plans as of now - but whenever he comes next he's bound to get a rousing reception once again.
