Gurgaon's first fashion week to be opened by Daler Mehndi
Gurgaon balances everything well. While a lot of young people are from outside the city, but they soon adapt to the fashionable ways of Gurgaonites. Everyone is very fashionably conscious and the malls, Galleria as well as the corporate sectors are testimony to the fact. To put Gurgaon on the fashion map, a Fashion Week has been organised from April 17. Organised by Neha Verma, this would pave the way for all the fashionistas of Gurgaon.

This event would take place from April 17-20 and is scheduled to be a bi annual with a summer as well as a winter edition. The four day event is carefully planned with a number of activities, but the show would begin with performances by Daler Mehndi, Anamika Grover and Sandeep Marwah.

Names like Ritu Kumar, Surveen Chawla, Panache By Aarja are associated with the Fashion week. For a first time effort, everything looks quite at par with the national fashion-week standards. Since there is no dearth of money in Gurgaon, it would be a golden opportunity for the buyers to see what the fashion week has to offer.

As was reported by timesofindia, there are about 14-16 shows planned for the event and the list has names such as Pooja and Urvika, 09 by Janhavi Gupta, Reet/Homesaaz by Kaveri Batla, Kavita Tulsiani, Umaarth by Shagun, Shaa by Shweta and Red Paws Rescue, an NGO that will be making their presence felt through booths, fashion shows or both. Besides, BMW, Elle, Kanishq Bhardwaj, Har-yarn, Rivayat bu Meera & Rohit, Budweiser, Bar-Devils, Juvalia & You, Wess (NGO) and Biba are the brands lending their names to the event.
