Gurgaon's Galaxy Hotel named Hotel of the year

Gurgaon's five-star property, Galaxy Hotel & Spa, won the Hotel of the Year awards in the Golden Star Awards on February 14. Instituted by the group 'Star of the Industry,' the Golden Star Awards recognize the talent, service, excellence, aspiration and customer centric policies of organizations in the services and hospitality industry in the country.

Making a clean sweep, Galaxy Hotel claimed all the 5 awards in the categories it had sent nominations. The award function was held at Taj Land’s End, Mumbai, the General Manager of the Galaxy, Mr. Pradipta N. Biswas along with the Executive Chef Rahul Rana, were conferred with the 5 prestigious awards.

Galaxy Hotel and Spa operates pubs, restaurants and high-end branded shops. 'The Monk' restaurant won an award in Best Oriental Cuisine category. The hotel also has on its property the pub Howzzatt, and Axis and Beanstalk restaurants.

The award of Most Admired Banqueting Services went to Zinnia and award of the Most Admired Chef of the Year went to Rahul Rana. Whereas GM Pradipta N Biswas was awarded as Most Admired GM of the Year, and Galaxy Hotel and Spa was given Hotel of the Year – Premium Business award in the event.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Biswas said, “This has been an achievement for the hotel. We have a very talented and dedicated team at Galaxy who always go the extra mile to make our customers and clients happy and satisfied. At a personal level, it is an amazing honour and feeling to win the award for two years in a row. I had won it last year, too, and this year winning it in a new market has been doubly satisfying. I would like to thank my team who has also made all this possible. We look forward to expanding the facilities and services at the Galaxy hotel in the future and working towards keeping the property in the forefront always.”
