Gurgaon's Govt. school's gates locked to protest rejoining of an allegedly indisciplined teacher
Parents of students studying in a government senior secondary school in Caterpuri, Gurgaon locked the gates of the school yesterday (Friday), after a lady teacher who was earlier transferred on their complaints, was again transferred in same school.

The social science teacher was transferred to some other school after the parents, students and the other school teachers had officially complained against her. The complainants have to say that the teacher in question used to come late, didn't take her classes and also create misunderstanding between the students and the other teachers.

When contacted principal of the school Mithilesh Yadav said,“She was wrecking the image of our school in the vicinity. She used to come late to the school and used to sleep in classrooms during the school hours. The school administration also warned her several times not to create rift between staff and the students, however she was least bothered about it.”

Pushpa Rani had come to school to re-join. However, the principal refused to let her join on the grounds that re-transfer order was not as per the rules. Parents too were opposing her. Seeing the escalating trouble the school administration called the police to tackle the tricky situation.

After getting the information about the trouble in the school the district education officer Vandana Gupta arrived and spoke to the stakeholders. The situation got normalised only after she immediately issued fresh transfer orders to the teacher in question.
