Gurgaon's power situation deteriorates with 25 feeders breaking down in one night
Power situation in Gurgaon is deteriorating day by day. Adding salt to the injury wow some fresh troubles have surfaced with 25 feeders in the city breaking down on Tuesday night. Due to this break down of feeders many parts of the city suffered electricity cut for almost seven hours.

Mehrauli substation in-charge, who keeps a record of feeder breakdowns confirmed the broke down of the feeders and added that apart from 25 some others were kept off for maintenance.

A TOI report which quoted the sub-station incharge one feeder each in sectors 10, 47, 15, 17, 34, 56, Farukhnagar, along with two feeders each in sector 38, Manesar, DLF and Pataudi broke down. Apart from these, four feeders in Sector 23, and three feeders in Badshahpur and Sector 51 were also down.

Residents in city have been complaining since a long time that due to uncertain power supply situation they were spending sleepless nights. Rekha Narayan, a resident of sector 17, said that her electrical appliances were non-functional due to poor power supply. Another resident of sector 55 narrated some similar story. He said that it was becoming very difficult to get some relaxation after spending a hectic day in the office.

Speaking on the poor situation of power Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitaran Nigam (DHBVN), General manager Sanjeev Chopra, as per the TOI report, said, "Maintenance work is on at most substations especially the Daultabad sub-station following various faults in the recent past, which is why we had to cut off supply from feeders in areas on rotation basis for short intervals."
