Gurgaon's Rapid Metro observes National Safety Week

With an objective to ensure safety and health are integrated in work culture and lifestyle, and to renew the commitment of its employees towards safety and health at workplace, Rapid Metro, Gurgaon observed March 4-8 as National Safety Week in the Millennium City.

The theme of the week was, “Work together to ensure safe and healthy workplace”. Speaking on the occasion, Sanjiv Rai, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IL&FS Rail Ltd, financial arm of Rapid Metro, Gurgaon, said: “As a responsible corporate it’s our duty to make our workers and employees aware that safety at the workplace is of utmost importance.”

“Every year we observe National Safety Day to achieve greater participation of our employees in Occupational Health & Safety activities. I wish all the employees a safe and healthy National safety Day.”

IL&FS Rail celebrated the entire week as National Safety Week wherein the organization held various competitions for their workers like writing competitions etc. The company also conducted training programs for its employees on general construction safety for civil- site and trainee engineers.

The organization had earlier taken an initiative to make the city greener.
