Crystal Hues Limited, an advertising and translation company, launched an awareness campaign 'Wash Away H1N1' to generate awareness of H1N1 at Nehru Place, the largest commercial center in Delhi.
AS PART of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, Crystal Hues Limited undertook a campaign to generate awareness on preventive care, symptoms and institutions to approach for H1N1 testing and cure. Parkland Hotels and Resorts, Delhi, has supported this campaign.
Nathalie De Spiegeleire, Executive Director, Belgium Business Association has also lent moral support to the social cause and has highlighted the campaign in their official website. The information on H1N1 virus is based on guidelines given by World Health Organisation (WHO).
“Crystal Hues Limited is the first corporate body which had approached WHO, seeking their advice to undertake an awareness campaign on H1N1 virus”, said Dr Khanchit Limpakarnjanarat, Regional Advisor, Communicable Disease Surveillance and Response, looking after the WHO initiative for containing the H1N1 spread.
About 10,000 persons were contacted, including visits to more than a 1,000 offices during the day by more than 35 promoters and delivered exclusively designed and easy to understand information in multiple Indian languages. The information, given away as “Information Key-Ring” ensured that the information is retained by the recipients and can be read by the members at their homes in their own language.
This strategy is based on results of the research which highlighted the urgent need of home-makers and families, who are mainly responsible for health and hygiene of the family, as the target audience for creating H1N1 awareness.
