I HAVE a very oily scalp, those of its kind which needs daily washing to avoid looking greasy and dull. Although, oily scalp is an unwanted inheritance, they are very prone to dandruff and itchiness throughout the seasons.
Here are some tips, following which you will at least worry less and feel happy about your hair. Wash your hair every alternate day, with a mild shampoo.
- Make a paste of henna (based on your hair length and thickness), using henna, boiled lemon juice and strained coffee water, egg white and apply it generously on your scalp and hair. Do it once in every 15 days.
- Mix one or two egg whites with half or one full squeezed lemon juice in a bowl. Apply on the scalp and leave for 20 to 30 minutes. After that, wash your hair with a mild shampoo. Try this every week for better results.
- Massage lukewarm oil in your hair at least once a week and leave it for an hour and then wash it off. It would be more effective if left overnight.
- Mix semi-grind hibiscus leaves (not the fresh ones but darker leaves) in half litre water. Wash your hair with this viscous fluid (it almost feels like a shampoo but with less froth). It is not only chemical free, it also boosts hair volume and shine.
Like your skin, even your scalp needs protection. Keep it safe from dry winds, harsh sunlight and chemicals.
