Happiness is spiritual
Religion and spirituality are two different things. Some people achieve spirituality simply by meditation. Visiting religious places is not a compulsion. Instead one should learn to build harmony around himself to stay at peace

HAPPINESS HAS been the quest of every human being from the start of the world. People tend to go amok when they have money and power. But contentment is the key to happy life. Very often you will find that man doesn't have any riches leads a contented life. Stick to your needs, greeds is endless.

Religion and spirituality are two different things. Some people achieve spirituality simply by meditation. I don't feel that going to temples, mosques and other places of worship is necessary. In my family there was no regular activity such as going to the temples. We believed in Sufism. You just need to be true to yourself, to your family and your society. If you can't help, at least make sure that you don't harm anyone. We must try to maintain harmony around us. I'm not only god-loving but I also love my society.

I have strong roots in my family. My belief in God comes from them. Yes,our belief does not get shaken temporarily when we lose a loved one, for instance. But then we do come to realise that life and death are a cycle and we eventually learn to come to terms with the loss. You see, even when you are in your mother's womb, and the moment you are born, death starts chasing you. Death is the ultimate reality.

My father was a great man; his word is Lord Krishna's word for me. Whatever good I have in me is genetic. The bad is all mine. Every son tries to be like his father and so do I. One has to design his own destiny.

Emperor Ashok realised after the Kalinga war that war is a dirty thing, where innocent people are killed. We must eliminate fear in the common man's mind. You are not safe anywhere. India is the most unsafe place in the world today. But this state is the result of deprivation.

A deprived person cannot live on an exalted plane. It's for the country's leaders to bring in equality, irrespective of caste, class and religion. It's only then can we truly become a spiritual nation.
