Happy Birthday Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar: The legendary Indian cricketer turns 42 today
Legendary Indian cricketer Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar is celebrating his 42nd birthday today. The great Indian batsmen who was born on April 24, 1973 in Mumbai, Maharashtra is one of the greatest players in the game's history.

Sachin Tendulkar, a hero for cricket fans, an inspiration for budding cricketers and a brother, a mentor for the players with whom he played is one player whose replacement India is still looking for after his retirement from one-day and test cricket.

Tendulkar who is the only batsmen in the world to have scored one hundred international centuries (including both one-day and test cricket) is equally loved and admired by international cricketers. Be it great Sir Don Bradman or legendary leg spinner Shane Warne or master batsmen Steve Waugh, Brian Lara, Sachin Tendulkar beyond any doubt is one Indian cricketer who has got everyone's respect.

During his entire career Tendulkar never courted any controversy and kept his concentration focused upon his game only. Be it as an opening batsmen in one-day cricket, or batting at number four position in test cricket or surprising the opposition batsmen with his spin attack, whatever he did, he did it with great dedication.

Sachin Tendulkar as a captain for Indian side was not that successful as he was as a batsmen. His batting, according to cricket experts was suffering due to the responsibility of captainship, which ultimately forced him to opt out as captain of Indian cricket team.

The legendary Indian batsmen who is celebrating his 42nd birthday today is currently associated with IPL team Mumbai Indians as a mentor. Tendulkar was also the captain of Mumbai team during the first two season of the IPL.

ICC, BCCI, cricketers from around the word, Bollywood stars, politicians, fans took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wished Sachin Tendulkar, a many-many happy returns of the day.
