The Pi Day 2010 is marked on March 14, though a quick search on the internet is ready to point out that the day will also mark the Pi minute, which would fall at 1:59 PM and the Pi second, which will be on 1:59;26 PM, based on the numerical Pi truncated to seven decimal places (3.1415926).
Many people, mathematicians or not, plan to celebrate on the Pi Day 2010. While places like the Maryland Science Center, the Discovery Science Center and San Fransisco's Exploratorium will be holding their yearly parties to mark the occasion, several restaurants are also offering free pies for the Pi Day 2010.
You can be a part of the Pi Day 2010 celebrations by calculating your Pi age and Pi birthday, calaculating as many decimal places as possible for the number, finding out more information about Pi Day and the different ways in which its important, or by simply fetching a pie from the corner store!
