BIKE ENTHUSIASTS in India have a reason to rejoice as USA based motor cycle heavy weight Harley Davidson opened its first showroom in Hyderabad. The showroom opened in Banjara Hills on Friday. The other cities which will soon have their own Harley showrooms are Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chandigarh.

The bike, envied by the top most luxury car owners had its first showroom opened by popular Telugu film actor N.T Rama Rao junior. Upon the release of the premium bike in India, Anoop Prakash, Managing Director of Harley Davidson India said, “ We have opened the first dealership in India at Hyderabad. Get equipped for a Harley-Davidson experience”. He also added that the bikes will be released in other parts of the country by this year end.

Talking about the current trend of sale of heavy bikes, he said as much as 700 brands of such bikes excluding Harley were sold in India and now the company has made enough investment so as to sustain for the next 20 years.

The bikes will be manufactured in USA and will be shipped to India and the bookings had already started in April this year. The bikes will cost anywhere between Rs 7 lakhs to 35 lakhs and the available models in India are CVO, Dyna, Sportster, Touring, Vrod and Softail.
