Haryana declares holiday in schools on January 22; Gurgaon schools unaware of any such order
Haryana state government is all set to launch 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign on Thursday to prevent female foeticide and spread the awareness about the skewed sex ratio, women empowerment, safety and education of the girl child.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the campaign in Panipat district on January 22 and on this occasion the government asked all private and government schools to remain closed. However, Gurgaon schools are still unaware about the decision. It seems like the decision have been made on papers only and government didn't bother to circulate the same in all state private and government schools.

The schools have not received any of letter or notification regarding the matter and are still waiting for confirmation of the news. They, themselves got to know about the decision from news articles on the matter. Meanwhile, we tried to connect with some schools and find out what they are going to do on the day.

According to the G.D Goenka Public School of Gurgaon, they are not aware about it and are still waiting for the official declarative letter from the government, ''We got to know about it through newspaper and we are still waiting for the update.It might be still under process. The directorate of education will decide that either the school remain close on January 22 or not.''

However, Ryan International School of Gurgaon clearly stated that there will be no off on Thursday.

Another private school of Gurgaon, American Montessori Public School also complaint about not receiving any notification regarding a day off on the occasion of launch, ''We have received no notification from the concerned authority. So, there is no confirmation on the related reports.''

The situation remain obscure till Tuesday as no school authority received any official notification related to the decision.
