Haryana Govt to issue notice against KBC for misrepresenting sex ratio facts!
Film star Amitabh Bachchan and Sony TV seems to be in trouble as Haryana Government has decided to issue legal notices to Sony Entertainment TV which has hosted Amitabh Bachchan's show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) for showing wrong figures about sex ratio in Madna village in Jhajjar district of Haryana.

Commissioner of FDA told that KBC has misquoted the figures, which
has tarnished the image of department adding that within a short
period of three months as many as ninety FIRs have been registered
under the PNDT Act and entire machinery of the department is working
day and night for catching those, who are indulged in illegal
pre-birth sex tests.
Singhal said that their
team members pose as dummy clients and are catching the culprits even
sometimes at risk to their lives. This CJ (Pawan Kr. Bansal) has shot
a letter to Amitabh Bachchan to bring it in his knowledge that facts
on such a sensitive issue were shown incorrectly.
Rishiraj of Madana
village has walked away with a prize of Rs 12 lakh and in that
episode it was shown that the village has lowest sex ratio and female
foeticide and infanticide is still rampant in the village.
To buttress their point
organisers of the show have even shown a board which says, "Come
for abortion for Rs. 500 plus medicines free."
Commissioner, Chander Shekkhar has stated that it was done by the
producers of the show for the sake of TRP. Though he admitted that
such things happen but there can not be any board which openly calls

village Sarpanch has stated that information given on the show is
completely wrong, while adding that it seems to be an attempt to
malign the village's image. Organizers are even accused of presenting
dummy villagers on the show.
