Haryana: MDU VC orders FIR in fake admit cards case
Erring college principal to be derecognised while chargesheet to be issued against the varsity employee says the VC.
CONSIDERING THAT the case of issuing fabricated admit cards to those five candidates, who had not even enrolled for a course, falls in the category of “crime”, the Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, authorities have decided to lodge a first information report (FIR) with the police against principal of the Sanskriti Institute of Education and Technology, Amarpur Jorasi, Narnaul, and an university employee, who found “guilty” of committing fraud and indulging in corrupt practice.
 
According to sources, the MDU Vice Chancellor (VC), Dr. R.P. Hooda, has issued order to the college branch for getting an FIR lodged with the police under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against both of the erring persons, who defrauded the five candidates and adopted illegal means with an intention to extort money from them. 
 
Apart from this, the VC has also directed the college management to take official action against the principal on its behalf and also submit its report in this connection to the university at the earliest.  
 
Notably, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has already directed the university authorities in the same case to inform about the outcome of the investigation carried out by a two-member committee of senior professors and the action taken in this regard in view of the findings and recommendation of the inquiry report.
 
The MDU VC,Dr R.P. Hooda, confirmed that the university authorities were going to lodge an FIR against the erring principal and the university employee.
 
“Besides police action, I have also ordered to issue chargesheet to the erring employee soon and asked the college management as well to initiate appropriate action against the principal who defamed the name of its institution,” said the VC, adding that the principal would also be derecognised through official procedure.
 
Hooda maintained he had also ordered to place the case before Academic Council (AC) of the University for deciding further course of action in this regard after holding detailed discussion on it. Meeting of the AC was being convened soon, he informed.   
 
Five fabricated admit cards for the annual theoretical exams of B.PEd course were issued by the university employees to candidates who were not even enrolled for B.PEd course. Interestingly, on the basis of fabricated admit cards, three of the five candidates, Rashida Jamal, Amit Joshi and Mukesh Chander, succeeded in appearing for the theoretical exams against Ekta Gangwar, Menka and Chhaya Gangwar, respectively. These all were the students of the Sanskriti Institute of Education and Technology, Amarpur Jorasi, Narnaul and its principal had submitted their examination forms to the university after attesting them with his stamp and signature.
 
The university authorities have already removed one of the erring employees, who had been working as clerk on contract basis with Result Branch-1 of the university.
