DESPITE THE Panchkula Court refusing anticipatory bail plea of former DGP SPS Rathore, Haryana police has said that it would not arrest the top cop in haste. Police officials in Panchkula said that investigation is on in the Ruchika Girhotra case and all aspects of the case were being looked into before any move is made.

Police officials also said that since they have recommended that the fresh FIRs against Rathore should be sent to the CBI for further investigation, they had no need to arrest the former top cop. As the CBI can take over the case in coming few days, they did not want to take a step which could jeopardize the investigation process, police added.
