The engineers alleged that the officer who even does not know whether the tube puncturing is a natural/metallurgy failure or due to human error is on the verge of getting extension merely on the basis of sweet-talks.
Further the engineers collectively resolved to intensify their resentment and to transform it into an agitation if such extension is not immediately withheld. It is informed that the HPGCL Management/Haryana Government is solely responsible for sparking off resentment among engineers.
RK Jangra, President of Association appealed to Haryana Government to intervene in the matter and withhold the extension of incapable engineer on the lines of earlier policy decided by the Power Ministry, which clearly mentioned that “such extensions definitely cause heart-burning among other working engineers.’
The Association also demanded the reinstatement of executive engineer at Yamuna Nagar thermal. The official was suspended in September without any fault and no charge sheet has been issued so for. The imbalancing of rotor was result of design/manufacturing defect of Chinese turbine.
Hardeep Sangwan, General Secretary lamented that HPGCL has not issued generation incentive policy till date, which otherwise needs to be issued prior to start of each financial year in order to present a clear picture of the targets to be met and calculation of generation incentive thereon.
This is despite the fact that a decision on the issue was taken in the meeting chaired by the Power Minister Haryana in the presence of Managing Director of all power utilities. This is required immediately for maximizing the power generation in order to cope up with the high power demand of Haryana state.
