HARYANA TREASURIES and accounts (T&A) department has invited applications from eligible candidates desirous of taking the subordinate accounts services (S.A.S) Part I and Part II (OB/LAD) examination, by March 10, 2009.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the department said that eligible candidates to appear in the SAS examination were clerks, account clerks, stenos, junior and senior scale stenographers, computer operators, data entry operators, assistants, junior auditors, upper division clerks and divisional accountants in the state government undertaking, institutions and companies. Accountants, treasurers, accounts officers and section officers of corporation, board and co-operative institution, who have not qualified SAS examination, were also eligible for it. Similarly, deputy superintendents, head superintendents, head assistants in any department of the state government, board, corporation and cooperative institution were also eligible to appear for the exam.
He said that in the event of passing the state SAS examination, the candidates’ services would be at the disposal of the T&A department. The applicant would have to be a regular employee of the state government or any other eligible bodies, the list of which had been made available on the web site www.finhry.gov.in. The applicant would have to be a graduate from any recognized university and have atleast a cumulative experience of three years on the eligible ministerial
posts, which were also mentioned on the website. In his career, no doubt about his integrity should have been raised.
He should have earned atleast 70 per cent good and above remarks in his annual confidential reports during the immediately preceding ten years. He should not be having any disciplinary proceeding under Rule 7 (major penalty) of the P&A Rules or equivalent or any criminal proceedings pending before any court of law at the time of making the application. All these aspects would be certified by the respective head of the department in due course and only such of candidates passing
the exam would be declared qualified SAS Part I and Part II(OB/LAD) who posses all these eligibility criteria as well in terms of such a certification.
He said that the examination would be conducted by the director general (DG), Haryana
Institute of Public Administration (HIPA), Gurgaon, on April 6, 2009, at such time and place as determined and conveyed by HIPA in due course. Only such candidates who have been issued roll numbers and Admit Card by HIPA for taking the examination would be permitted to take the exam on appointed date, venue and time.
He said that the practice of seeking application through the HoD and agency had been dispensed with to simplify the procedure. Self certified application in prescribed form with other necessary material could be referred to the director T&A. Entitlement to be declared qualified would be subject to certification by the head of the respective department or agency in due course.
