Haryana's Lokayukta recommends registration of criminal case against state's Chief Parliamentary Secretary
In a landmark judgement, Haryana's Lokayukta Justice Pritampal has recommended registration of criminal case against Ram Kishan Fauji, Chief Parliamentary Secretary of Haryana.
Highly placed sources told this citizen journalist that the Lokayukta has recommended to the competent authority that a criminal case for commission of offence punishable under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, be immediately registered against Fauji.

The Lokayukta further said that thereafter, a senior competent Police Officer enjoying the reputation of having impeccable integrity, be deputed to investigate the entire case expeditiously on all counts of every allegation of corruption as allegedly narrated in the CD during the sting operation.

For his historical judgement, the state's Lokayukta Pritampal is getting appreciation from all over the country. Even the Indian National Lok Dal which has initially decided to boycott the probe by Lokayukta has complimented Lokayukta Pritampal.

R.S.Choudhary, the national spokesman said that with this judgment now people are convinced that still there was scope of getting justice in the corrupt and polluted system of the state. People are comparing his judgement with Justice Santosh Hegde, Lokayukta of Karnatka whose judgement has led to the ouster of powerful Chief Minister Yedyurappa.

Before parting with this report/ order, it is also observed here that the alleged CD prepared during the course of sting operation conducted by the deponents requires a thorough and effective investigation qua the picture and the voice of Ram Kishan Fauji, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Haryana, who has made a demand of Rs 5 crores and also qua the voice of Dharmender Kuhar, who is stated to have talked to him (Ram Kishan Fauji) during the sting operation.

Here, again I am compelled to observe that, “It is built in ties that every citizen must strive for a corruption free society and must expose the corruption whenever it comes to his or her knowledge and try to remove corruption at all levels more so at higher levels of Management of the state.”

As required under Section 17 (2) of the Act, action taken report on the above recommendations be sent to this authority of Lokayukta at the earliest.
