Has the Congress government played with the laws to protect the relatives of Gandhi family?
The Companies Act, 1956 has been replaced completely by the Companies Act, 2013. However, the most surprising change, which has gone unnoticed, is that the "List of relatives", which was provided in the Companies Act,1956 has also been changed with a new "List of relatives", which should not have been done.

In order to understand the whole matter, below is the list of Relatives Under the Companies Act,1956. And the list of relatives under the Companies Act, 2013.

List of Relatives under the Companies Act, 1956 :

1. Father.

2. Mother (including step-mother).

3. Son (including step-son).

4. Son's wife.

5. Daughter (including step-daughter).

6. Father's father.

7. Father's mother.

8. Mother's mother.

9. Mother's father.

10. Son's son.

11. Son's son?s wife.

12. Son's daughter.

13. Son's daughter's husband.

14. Daughter's husband.

15. Daughter's son.

16. Daughter's son's wife.

17. Daughter's daughter.

18. Daughter's daughter's husband.

19. Brother (including step-brother).

20. Brother's wife.

21. Sister (including step-sister).

22. Sister's husband.

List of relatives under the Companies Act, 2013 :

1. Spouse

2. Father (including step-father)

3. Father's father

4. Father's mother

5. Mother(including step-mother)

6. Mother's mother

7. Mother's father

8. Son (including step-son)

9. Son's wife

10. Son's son

11. Son's daughter

12. Daughter (including step-daughter)

13. Daughter's husband

14. Brother (including step-brother)

15. Sister (including step sister)

If one goes through the comparison of both the lists given herein above, one would find that the new list of relatives has omitted the following relatives :

1. Son's son's wife

2. Daughter's daughter's husband

3. Son's daughter's husband

4. Daughter's son

5. Daughter's daughter

6. Daughter's sons wife

7. Brother's wife

8. Sister's husband

In simple terms, the above noted omission would mean that any transactions done with and between these relatives will not be covered under the new Companies Act, 2013 whereas the same was covered in the older Companies Act, 1956. Why the Congress Government has excluded these "relatives" from the list provided in the Companies Act, 2013, is a mystery and it owes an explanation to the nation for such omission whether deliberate or not.

Main opposition party BJP and its PM in waiting Narendra Modi are already attacking Gandhi family's relative Robert Vadra and questioning the manner in which he has made Rs. 300 Crores from just Rs.1 Lakh within a period of 4 years. BJP, Modi and other BJP leaders are also openly saying that once their party comes to power, some of the relatives of the Gandhi family would land in Jail.

Once the next Government is formed at the Centre, the list of relatives can be easily amended through a simple notification and once it is done, some of the relatives of the Gandhi family may find themselves in serious trouble. Whether this will actually happen or not and at what point of time, this will happen, only time will tell.

As this is a new development, media has not reported this fact so far and this is perhaps for the first time that this matter is being brought into the notice of the public at large.
